Tyson Hayward & Katie Hamblin
Stewardess and mate
Tyson and Katie.. met in Paso Robles California and have been inseparable from the moment they met. Their common interest of ambition, adventure, travel, and business has lead them down a successful path of risks and returns! Their well rounded skills including customer service, keen seamanship, love of the ocean and scuba diving, will surely make your vacation an entertaining and fulfilling adventure.
Tyson was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta Canada. Growing up and on the water most of his life, he was raised in a family that had a passion for sailing. He has enjoyed living in numerous places around the United States including Texas, Colorado, and California. After a short tenure living in the Virgin Islands in the mid '80s, his goal was to eventually return. At that time he gained valuable experience crewing on boats, living on the water, life guarding, becoming CPR trained, learning the hospitality industry, and becoming scuba diving certified. This gave him the foundation and understanding of what it takes to entertain and create a fantastic and memorable vacation. Tyson holds a 100 ton US Coast Guard Captain's license as well as a certified dive master.
Katie was raised in Atascadero, California, and graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a degree in marketing. Among her previous job experiences, she worked with a local bank for 5 years as a portfolio manager in the commercial lending department. Opportunities prevailed, and shortly thereafter, she became self employed starting her own company called "Uncorked Wine Tours". This business, offering exclusive wine tours, helped contribute to the service and knowledge that she now shares with her charter guests. After her recent career shift to the charter industry, her focus was then directed to cooking classes and pursuing this new opportunity as a life style. Her knowledge and passion in cooking, wine paring, sailing, scuba diving and customer service all complimented Tyson, and their team objectives for customer service.
Together, along with their athletic and travel passion, competed in the "Wildflower Triathlon" as well as raising money for worthy causes; such as " Best Buddies International" and the Special Olympics. After numerous sailing trips to the Caribbean, their hobby thus turned into a business. Shortly thereafter, they followed their passion. They then decided to pursue a professional charter career, thereby securing the opportunity, which lead them to Zingara. This match has allowed them to mesh their talents of scuba diving, their passion for wine and cooking, love of the sea, skilled seamanship and desire to treat people with customer service beyond their wildest dreams. You too, will be enchanted, and enjoy the enthusiasm they are eager to share. |
